Napier
Training Hall Details:
The
Napier dojo has been in operation since 2001; this year we celebrate our 10th
year
of training. Owing
to demand, new Classes and new timetables for Napier Dojo started on the 2nd Febraury 2010. These
classes allow more choice for new and existing students. Classes and
timetables are as follows:

4.30pm |
Pee
Wee Kids Karate |
Kids Karate is a new class designed
specifically for 4-7 year olds. Students are taught the basic techniques of
karate in a fun and active environment. Activities are designed to
encourage balance, flexibility, hand-eye co-ordination, concentration and
confidence. |

5.30pm |
Mixed
Grades Class |
This
class is specifically for junior students graduating from the junior class
above and adults wanting to train at the earlier time of 5.30pm. This class
is also ideal for parents wanting to do karate classes with their
children. All facets of the International Kyokushin Karate syllabus are
taught. |

6.30pm |
Adults and Senior student Fight and Fitness Class |
This class is for adults and mature
teenagers. This
is a full on fighting fitness session. The focus of training is predominantly
fighting technique for full contact Kyokushin tournament fighting and
street wise "Tactical Self Defence".

The
Napier dojo is a positive training venue for anyone wanting to start their
Karate journey. Many students have competed and achieved National championship
status and both travelled and represented New Zealand Kyokushin overseas.
As
with our sister Dojo in Hastings, Napier Dojo takes pride in its students and is
dedicated to their continuous improvement and development. Owing to popularity,
places in the Napier Dojo are limited. Contact details are below; appointments
to visit are necessary, please call for more information.

In
addition to Chief Instructor Troy Sensei, dojo
classes have the added benefit of eight assistant instructors pictured
above. All
instructors are Japanese certified, internationally recognised black
belts registered with the International Karate Organisation Kyokushin-Kaikan (IKO1), Japan.
Trying
out your first lesson is easy, no special equipment or uniform is necessary. When
you come along for your first session, you should wear pants that go below the
knee and a high cut t-shirt. Also bring a jacket, water bottle and a towel.
